Frequently Asked Questions.
Basically it's a Fantasy Role Play Module in PDF format. However, we have utliised 3D rendering packages, our publishing experience and the capabilities of the PDF format to bring you much more than a simple 'e-book'.
By using specialist coding, along with multi-layering techniques, we can bring you a PDF that can display room descriptions, different maps or even hide all the information at the touch of a button. Lair-Craft PDFs have 3 main 'buttons:
Some e-Modules have "?" symbol. You can choose to use these to show player specific images.
Finally - we're looking to add a sound icon in our next few modules, so that you can choose to add creaking doors, howling winds, tavern music etc as required.
Originally we chose to run our modules purely for computer use. However, we soon found that some people wanted the cool layouts and the rooms, but didn't want to use their laptops at the gaming table. What we decided to do was create a series of printer friendly pages at the back of the modules that contain a simpler version of the modules. You STILL get all the room descriptions, maps etc, but without the 'ink heavy' graphics, interactive bits and colour coded maps.
Not at all! Our modules can be used with basic pen and paper gaming or with regular card floor plans. In fact, we supply a range of floor plans with the module that you can print off and use right away. We have even seen them used with other 3D terrain like World Work Games and Hirst Arts products.
However, we love the Dwarven Forge products and the great feeling that you get when using it that's why our modules are geared towards them.
You'll see by our spelling of such words as 'colour' and 'utilise', that we're British. However, we actually live in Sunny Spain. You'll be asking us our shoe size, blood group and favourite drink next!

Of course you can. We're happy to see any ideas that you may have. In fact we have a dedicated email address just for this purpose - ideas@lair-craft.com.
Unfortunately, we cannot pay you for any ideas we may use (We can barely pay ourselves (hint, hint)) but, if we use them, you'll get full credit in the relevant module, and a free copy of the module once it's out. That said, don't send us 'It's kind of a 3rd level dungeon full of invisible scorpions. There's some dude at the end as well. I'm thinkin' of adding a +2 long sword and a cloak of invisibility. Oh, and I reckon you should add a few traps in there too.' type suggestions. We've enough of them already, and that's just from the staff!
We use Paypal for all our transactions. This way you know that it's secure and safe and that we NEVER see your card details. Simply click on the 'add to cart' buttons beside the modules you want to buy and follow the easy guidelines. If you don't have a Paypal account, you can easily set one up here.
Our automated system should send you an encrypted link immediately. If you don't receive it, let us know at orders@lair-craft.com. We'll check the database to see whether it was sent, to where, what IP and if the link was accessed. |
The 'Secret Skull' is a clickable icon that will hide or show every piece of
important information from your screen.
The 'Colour Constructor' icon will display a special colour-coded version of
the relevant map. Simply hover over this icon to view the colour map.
The 'Room Revealer' allows you to view the descriptions for a
specific room location. Click on the relevant number. to view the descriptions.
